Brio Tuscan Grille at Easton Town Center.
Here's the scenario:  You have a limited amount of time to shop/eat before the kids get home from school, so you have to make good use of your time (or you are on your lunch break from work!).  Do you eat fast food and continue on your trek to shop OR do you sacrifice your shopping time for a fresh meal at a nice restaurant?  Well, this decision just got a whole lot easier!!
Brio Tuscan Grille is now offering a "Fast Break Lunch" program.  You just call ahead and let them know what time you will be arriving and place your food order.  When you arrive, your bread and beverage will be awaiting at your table and your food order will arrive in 15 minutes!  It sounds to good to be true, right?  Well, Val and I headed out to Easton Town Center to test it out!
At 12:05 pm, Valerie called Brio Tuscan Grille (614-416-4745) and said "Fast Break Lunch" when the hostess answered the phone.  She was then transferred to someone else who answered "Fast Break Lunch" ,then she placed our order and told them we would arrive at  12:30 pm.  We ordered the Sliced Steak Bruschetta (With Gorgonzola Dolce, arugula, fennel, charred tomato, Parmigiano-Reggiano and balsamic drizzle), Chicken and Chorizo Stuffed Peppers (Baked until golden brown, baby bell peppers stuffed with chicken, chorizo, Parmigiano-Reggiano and topped with Fontina and pesto bread crumbs) and the BRIO chopped salad.(Chopped greens with tomatoes, olives, onions, cucumber, Feta and red wine vinaigrette)  Next, we placed our  drink order-Diet Coke and Water with Lemon.
We arrived around 12:30 pm and we were seated quickly.  At our table, there was our Diet Coke, water and bread!  We sat down and of course, dove into the bread!  Within minutes, our entrees arrived!  The Sliced Steak Bruschetta is what I ate first-delicious!  Bread, steak and balsamic drizzle-what's not to love??  Next, it was a taste of the Chicken and Chorizo Stuffed peppers; cheesy and tasty but we had a hard time tasting the Chorizo. I think the cheese overpowered the Chorizo but it was still good!  The BRIO chopped salad was fresh too!
Valerie was raving to the waiter about her love for balsamic drizzle and then he brought over a sample of the balsamic dressing so we could try it on our salad.   He said he thought it was the best tasting balsamic dressing and he was right!  The balsamic dressing had a "parmesan finish" and that is something that I had never tasted in a balsamic dressing!
We were probably done in 20-25 minutes but we did linger at Brio a little longer. A manager stopped by asked how we liked our meal and then went on to explain about the construction on the patio.  He said that Brio was building a glass enclosed patio that could be used year round.  I guess we will have to return again when that is finished!
Overall, our opinion of the Brio's "Fast Break Lunch" program-quick, fresh and delicious!  Give it a try the next time you are at Easton Town Center!
SMAC Approved!
